Frogs
The Hares were so persecuted
other beasts,
know where
they saw
single animal approach them, off they used to run
One day they saw
troop of wild Horses stampeding about, and in quite
panic all the Hares scuttled off to
lake hard by, determined to drown themselves rather than live
continual state of fear
But just
got near the bank
lake,
troop of Frogs, frightened in their turn
approach
Hares scuttled off, and jumped
water
`Truly,' said
Hares, `things
so bad
seem:
`
always someone worse off than yourself
