The Hares and_the Frogs

The Hares were so persecuted by_the other beasts, they_did_not know where to_go . as_soon_as they saw asingle animal approach them, off they used to run .One day they saw atroop of wild Horses stampeding about, and in quite apanic all the Hares scuttled off to alake hard by, determined to drown themselves rather than live in_such acontinual state of fear .But just as_they got near the bank of_the lake, atroop of Frogs, frightened in their turn by_the approach of_the Hares scuttled off, and jumped into_the water .`Truly,' said one_of_the Hares, `things are_not so bad as_they seem:

` there_is always someone worse off than yourself .'
